It is with great joy that we report Barberyn success at the first presidential awards for the tourism and travel industry in Sri Lanka, held in January this year. The two awards are as follows:

Dear Friends,
At Barberyn Reef and Barberyn Beach a full house of guests celebrated Christmas and New Year with us enjoying the live music and great food. At Barberyn Reef guests danced until dawn. Barberyn Beach was more staid and they stopped the revelry sooner had some traditional dance performances as well.

The beginning of the New Year is a time when Barberyn particularly engages in spiritual ceremonies and there were many wonderful moments where the monks chanted from the Buddhist scriptures and all of us offered food and gifts to the monks. Many repeating guests joined us in these activities and we remembered those of you who could not be with us in our blessings.

Dear friends of Barberyn
In developing this new web site we have incorporated many of the ideas and suggestions that you have made over the years and included some of the photographs that fans of Barberyn have sent us.
We decided to establish this Blog so that we can provide you with news from Barberyn and you can share with us your experiences and stories related to your visits to Sri Lanka or your experiences with Ayurveda.
We will be responsible for the management of this Blog along with our cousins. Our grandfather built Barberyn, 38 years ago.
