Presidential Award for Barberyn Barberyn Ayurveda resorts is delighted to have received the Presidential award for the best Ayurveda Niche operator on 15 June 2010 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This feat is even more remarkable as we were the winner of this same award as well as the award for Pioneer of Ayurveda tourism in the inaugural Presidential Awards in January 2008

Barberyn Beach Ayurveda Resort is located on the southern tip of Sri Lanka, in the coastal village of Weligama, approximately 140 km from Colombo. It was opened in 2003 and built and operated by the owners of the Barberyn Ayurveda Resorts.

They have pooled together the wealth of knowledge, experience and resources acquired over the years in providing Ayurveda treatment and operation of resorts for this project.

Contemporary architecture blends beautifully with indigenous design to create feeling of space and light - which brings nature in - for guests to enjoy the healing that comes from within.

You walk into the serene entrance pavilion, and you are greeted with the perfume of frangipani, and the traditional "Ayubowan - May you have a long life" - and you are taking the first steps in discovering the quiet elegance of Barberyn Beach and the Ayurveda way of life.
