As close to nature as one can get

The accommodation at Barberyn Reef consists of 75 rooms, the majority of which has been recently renovated / refurbished.

The previous Garden and Beach "cottages" are now clusters of rooms in several blocks - some on stilts and some on two levels (ground floor rooms and first floor rooms). All rooms are beautifully furnished with furniture made at the resort and have mosquito nets, attached toilets (shower or bath tubs) natural ventilation and electric fans, a terrace or balcony. Only a few rooms are air conditioned as most guests prefer natural ventilation which is recommended in Ayurveda.

Rooms are allocated subject to availability at time of booking.

The landscaping is ongoing and is being done by well known Sri Lankan landscape artist Mr. Lucky Senanayake who did the garden at our sister property, Barberyn Beach.

Beach front rooms (Formerly beach cottages)

The first group of new rooms built in groups of two, four, six and eight rooms, very close to the ocean. All rooms are comfortable and elegantly furnished with wood and natural material. The majority have views of the ocean and open to a terrace or a balcony.

Garden rooms (Formerly garden cottages)

The next group of new rooms built in groups of two, four, six and eight rooms also close to the ocean. All rooms are comfortable and elegantly furnished with wood and natural material. Each room opens to a terrace or a balcony and accommodates two persons.

Deluxe Rooms (Deluxe sea view rooms and garden view rooms)

The duplex rooms are located above the dining room have high ceilings and a mezzanine floor built with wood which serves as a small sitting area. They all have balconies over looking the sea.

Classic Rooms

The Classic Rooms are located on the upper levels of the Ayurveda centre and are spacious rooms with Balconies over looking the garden.

Air conditioned Rooms

The air conditioned rooms are located in the main building (adjacent to the reception area) opening to a terrace overlooking the sea, and a separate wing of rooms over looking a grass lawn.

Standard Rooms

Located on the 1st floor of the main building, the standard rooms are with all of the amenities as in the other rooms. Each has a balcony that overlooks the garden.
