The field visits which guests are invited to join are part of the wider project on the conservation of the natural bio diversity of the unique Barberyn Beach grounds. The field visits help to surveys the community of birds (local and migratory) and butterflies in the ground.
Guests can be part of this conservation initiative while enjoying the beautiful fauna of Sri Lanka. The project is part of the Barberyn collaboration with the University of Ruhuna and periodic lectures and a structured bird watch progranmmes is organized by the resort.
