Barberyn Beach Resort: Ayurveda Pioneer

Barberyn Ayurveda Resorts are the pioneer in providing Ayurveda treatment to overseas guests and own and operate two resorts – Barberyn reef and Barberyn Beach.

The Barberyn Reef commenced providing Ayurveda treatment around 1982, with one Ayurveda physician and two therapists. Today both resorts have extensive health centres providing Ayurveda treatment for guests from all over the world.

The Founder of Barberyn, Mr. Sudana Rodrigo was awarded the inaugural Presidential Award as pioneer of the Ayurveda tourism industry.

Barberyn also received the inaugural Presidential Award for the best niche operator - Ayurveda
