On 28th January 2026, the streets of Moragalle came alive with the Moragalle Duruthu Maha Perahera and Barberyn Reef Resort was honored to be part of this vibrant celebration. As a gesture of gratitude and support for the devoted individuals who bring this sacred procession to life, we provided 1,200 dinner packets along with refreshments (ice cream and water bottles) to the participants, standing alongside the community in a meaningful and practical way. The Duruthu Perahera marks the sacred month of Duruthu (January), commemorating the first visit of Lord Buddha to Sri Lanka.
