The Institute of Ayurveda, in collaboration with Barberyn Ayurveda Resorts, will conduct a Three Week Ayurveda Training Course – from the 5th to the 25th of September 2025. Participants from around the world come to Sri Lanka not only to study Ayurveda in theory and practice but also to experience its benefits firsthand.
All trainees stay at Barberyn Reef Ayurveda Resort, the world’s first dedicated Ayurveda resort, for the duration of the course.
Course Overview
This program provides a comprehensive foundation in Ayurveda, covering:
• Fundamental principles of Ayurveda and its roots in Vedic philosophy
• Practical training in classical oleation and applications (Ayurveda or Abhyanga massage)
• Ayurvedic dietary regimes and cooking for health and healing
• Basics of Ayurveda psychology and tools to enhance mental health and wellbeing
• Basic training in Yoga and Yogic postures to complement Ayurveda
• Introduction to Vedic astrology and its connection to health and well-being
• Introduction to Ayurvedic medicine making and home remedies
• Healing plants and their applications in Ayurveda
• Introduction to Vedic astrology and its connection to health and well-being
The course is conducted in English, and a working knowledge of the language is required.
